The is famous Masaniyamman temple is located in Anaimalai near Pollachi.
The Gundam Festival begins on the 1st day of the Thai New Moon with flag hoisting at 7.30
am and 8.30 am.

It is followed by special decorative anointing pujas for the Goddess in the
morning and evening for 18 days.

The main event of the festival is the Gundam 30 feet landing which is special this morning in
front of the Chief Priest Gundam Conducted pujas.


After the male devotees descended the kundam, the female devotees performed a
flower-laying ceremony at the kundam.
